EDITING AND PROOFREADING
If you don't need or aren't quite ready for book layout services, Right Hand Publishing can offer editing and proofreading services to help shape your text. Whether it's a book, blog posts, or a letter to the editor, RHP is here to help you improve your writing, hunt down typos, and develop your story.
The Process
Most editing and proofreading jobs are handled using Microsoft Word's Track Changes feature to allow the author to personally review and approve or reject each suggestion. Comments will be used for additional guidance and suggestions.
In the event that you do not have a Word document or access to Microsoft Word, other methods are available. Most commonly, we suggest Google Docs as an alternative.
In a single round of editing, RHP will completely read and edit the text. After the author's review and adjustments, RHP will evaluate their changes to help wade through the editing marks, edit those new additions, and produce a clean copy for you.
In some instances, it is wise to go through a second round of editing. It is often wise to at least handle one more round of proofreading, though some clients find it unnecessary.
